    The opportunity

    Finatal are currently working with a growing Private Equity backed Professional Services Business. Having recently received new investment by one of the best mid-market Private Equity houses, the business is looking for a UK Financial Controller to create a best-in-class finance function. The business has grown 50% year on year, with a healthy EBITDA which prompted this new investment in July 2022. Seeking to grow exponentially, this is an exciting opportunity for an experienced individual to be a part of this organic growth and M&A journey.

    The role includes both reporting and commercial aspects, covering all areas of this global business. Already having live acquisitions in the pipeline, the candidate will get involved in pre- and post-deal integration. Coupled with this, the candidate will have the opportunity to manage a dynamic team, and business partner with key stakeholders around the world.

    The ideal candidate is someone who proves both commercial and technical, extremely driven and ambitious. This aligns with the firm’s ethos as you take them through the full PE deal cycle.

    The role

    • Holistic control of the finance function from both a technical and commercial prospective, 50/50 split
    • Ownership and streamlining of the month end process and responsible for the preparation of board packs, ready for the investors and the commentary which comes along with it
    • Leading and managing the audit team, ensuring the deadlines are met
    • Professionalising FP&A processes, responsible for budgeting and forecasting
    • Supporting on 25% of ad-hoc work as required
    • Partnering the GFC and CFO on M&A activity and post-deal integration

    The requirements

    • ACA/ACCA 5 years post qualified
    • Team management experience
    • A strong technical background with experience in commercial teams
    • Netsuite experience would be beneficial
    • Ambitious, driven and eager to learn
