The opportunity
Finatal are working exclusively with a mid-market Private Equity backed IT services business seeking a Financial Accountant to join their finance team. The investors are preparing for an exit in the next 18 months, prior to this they seek to continue their M+A Activity – bolting on businesses to further their buy and build strategy. Reporting into a highly experienced Private Equity Group Financial Controller, this role is a great opportunity to grow within the business and be involved with a secondary buy out.
The role
- Coordinating the month end and group consolidation.
- Provide with commentary, the monthly group Balance Sheet providing expert analysis on any discrepancies.
- Reviewing financial statements and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and financial regulations.
- Assisting in the preparation of financial reports for management and Private Equity Investors
- Collaborating with external auditors to resolve any accounting or financial issues.
- Identifying and implementing process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy in the accounting function.
The requirements
- Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) who is preferably 1-3 years post qualified.
- Excellent MS Office skills.
- Hands on, communicative approach with immaculate presentation skills
- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment
- Great Knowledge of IFRS.
- Interpersonal skills are very important in this role.
