    Our client is a leading manufacturing business, privately owned by a prominent private equity firm. Based in Brussels, Belgium. As they embark on exciting projects to leverage data-driven insights, they are seeking a talented Data Project Consultant / Head of Data to join for a 6-month contract.


    Role Overview: In this dynamic role, you will be at the center of driving data-related initiatives within the organization. The position requires on-site presence 3-4 days per week in Brussels. The role is multifaceted, encompassing coaching, stakeholder management, user requirements gathering, and project management/business analysis responsibilities. Your primary focus will be helping to interpret the data they possess to drive strategic decision-making and business growth.


    The role

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Coach and mentor team members, particularly an individual transitioning into a senior role within the data team.
    • Assist in stakeholder management, fostering productive relationships with key stakeholders across the organization.
    • Gather user requirements and translate them into actionable insights for data-driven projects.
    • Take on project management and business analysis responsibilities as needed to ensure project success.
    • Lead the interpretation of data to uncover meaningful insights that drive business strategy and growth.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement data-driven solutions and initiatives.
    • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in data analytics and business intelligence.


    The requirements


    • Proven experience in data analysis, preferably within a manufacturing or related industry.
    • Experience working in an International business.
    • Strong coaching and mentoring skills, with the ability to develop team members' capabilities.
    • Excellent stakeholder management abilities, with experience engaging with diverse stakeholders.
    • Proficiency in gathering user requirements and translating them into actionable insights.
    • Project management and business analysis experience, with a track record of successful project delivery.
    • Advanced analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data sets to extract insights.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
    • Fluency in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.


    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience working in a private equity-owned environment or familiarity with private equity operations.
    • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and industry-specific challenges.
    • Familiarity with data visualization tools and techniques.
    • Certification or training in project management or business analysis.

    Key duties/responsibilities:

    Strategic Leadership:
