    Finatal are partnering with a dynamic and rapidly expanding Private Equity backed International Consumer Services business as they venture into the new territory of Greece. Then business has a proud track record of over £1 billion in turnover and £300m+ EBITDA and are poised for further exponential growth. This exciting opportunity marks the establishment of the business presence in Athens, Greece, and we are seeking a seasoned finance professional to spearhead our financial operations in this new territory.

     

    As the Head of Finance, you will play a pivotal role in setting up and owning the finance function from end to end. This includes establishing robust control processes and systems, overseeing financial planning and analysis (FP&A), and driving commercial finance strategies. Your responsibilities will extend beyond traditional finance functions to encompass HR, Legal, IT, and compliance, as you lead the setup of a new entity/office.

     

     

    The role

    The Role:

    • Establish and lead the finance function, including setting up controls, processes, and systems to ensure compliance and efficiency.
    • Take ownership of financial planning and analysis (FP&A) processes, providing insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
    • Drive commercial finance initiatives, partnering with cross-functional and European regional teams to optimize performance and profitability.
    • Report into the Group Finance/Regional Finance Team of Europe (reporting directly to the European CFO and CEO)
    • Oversee HR, Legal, IT, and compliance functions, ensuring alignment with finance objectives and Private Equity standards.
    • Collaborate closely with senior leadership to support the business's rapid scaling and acquisition strategy.

     

    The requirements

    The Requirements:

    • Professional finance qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA).
    • Demonstrable experience in start-up environments or setting up finance functions from scratch.
    • Ideally, exposure across HR, Legal, IT, and compliance functions in establishing a new entity/office.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment while maintaining meticulous attention to detail.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across functions.
    • Proven track record of driving excellence in finance and adhering to Private Equity standards.

This £300m t/o company which is market-leading in their respective industry is looking to close circa 6 international acquisitions (£20-60m EV), and require an experienced professional to lead the integration of these, adding value to this B2B subscription-based business which is looking to exhibit a global buy and build.

    You’ll be working closely with the c-suite to lead the integration of people, processes and systems into this rapidly expanding company, and continually develop the integration playbook and controls to ensure smooth integration across all workstreams for future acquisitions. You will need to drive synergies, operational efficiencies and integration metrics, ultimately maximizing return on investment whilst providing ongoing support and guidance to management teams throughout the integration process.
