    The Opportunity

    An international PE-backed Financial Services business is seeking an Interim Group Financial Controller on an initial 6 month contract. The business is a complex matrix organisation, and you will be number of divisional/international direct reports. Following recent investment from a large-cap PE firm, this is an exciting period of strategic change for the business. You will report directly to the CFO and work closely with the senior leadership team, as well as leading the group finance function.

    The Role

    • Management of the financial reporting function including the preparation of financial statements, budgets, forecasts and management accounts
    • Identify areas for process improvements and implement changes as required
    • Ensure compliance with IFRS and other relevant accounting standards
    • Oversight of the accounts payable and accounts receivable function
    • Maintenance of accurate financial records
    • Liaising with external auditors and tax advisers
    • Provide financial analysis and insights to the senior leadership team
    • Manage ad hoc projects as required

    The Requirements

    • Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) c. 10+ years PQE
    • Experience of working in a PE-backed business or listed environment
    • Strong technical accounting knowledge, including IFRS and UK Gaap
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Highly experienced with team/stakeholder management
    • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
    • Advanced Excel skills
