    Finatal have been retained by a leading B2B services business who are backed by a prominent mid-market PE firm to source a motivated Head of Finance. With a strong commitment to delivering exceptional service and sustainable growth, they have established themselves as a key player in the industry. As they expand internationally and evolve, they are seeking a talented and experienced Head of Finance to join the team. The business are driving towards an exit in the next 18 months and need a technically astute individual to support the CFO and wider team in this event.

     

    As the Head of Finance, you will play a pivotal role in steering the financial strategy of our organization. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial management, providing strategic guidance, and ensuring the financial health and stability of the company. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned finance professional who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. This role has a clear route to becoming a PE CFO so the right candidate will be driven towards this.

     

    The role

    The Role:

    • Develop and execute financial strategies to support the company's growth objectives, while ensuring alignment with overall business goals.
    • Provide leadership and direction to the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
    • Manage the preparation of financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, in compliance with regulatory requirements.
    • Conduct comprehensive financial analysis to identify areas for improvement and optimize financial performance.
    • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
    • Manage cash flow, working capital, and capital expenditure to maintain liquidity and support strategic investments.
    • Monitor and analyze market trends, economic indicators, and competitive landscape to inform financial decision-making.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive operational efficiencies and identify opportunities for revenue growth and cost optimization.
    • Establish and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, including investors, auditors, and regulatory authorities.

     

    The requirements

    About You:

    • Qualified Accountant (ACCA/ACA) with PQE in a data intensive environment.
    • Strong financial acumen, with a deep understanding of financial principles, practices, and regulations.
    • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and make strategic recommendations.
    • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
    • Strategic mindset, with the ability to think critically, anticipate challenges, and drive innovative solutions.
    • Ability to build best in class finance functions from the ground up, happy to 'get hands dirty' and be a team player
