    The Opportunity

    Are you a highly skilled finance professional with a strong technical background and experience in leading finance teams within private equity-backed organizations? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you as the Group Financial Controller of a Private Equity-backed technology business.

    The company is a leading player in the technology industry, renowned for its innovative solutions and consistent growth. With an impressive annual turnover of £400 million and an EBITDA of £60 million, they have established themselves as a key player in the market. As they continue to expand through strategic acquisitions, we are seeking a talented finance professional to join their team and drive the integration of our newly acquired entities.

    The Role:

    As the Group Financial Controller, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth integration of acquired entities and the ongoing financial success of their organization. You will lead a large finance team and work closely with the executive team to develop and implement financial strategies that align with their business objectives. Your technical expertise, experience in private equity-backed businesses, and hands-on knowledge of post-acquisition integration will be invaluable in this role.

    • Oversee all aspects of financial control, including financial reporting, planning, and analysis, to ensure compliance with accounting standards and drive business performance.
    • Lead and manage the finance team, providing guidance, mentoring, and support to develop a high-performing and motivated team.
    • Drive the integration process for newly acquired entities, ensuring effective financial consolidation, systems integration, and reporting alignment.
    • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including legal, operations, and IT, to identify and mitigate financial risks associated with acquisitions.
    • Develop and implement robust financial policies, procedures, and controls to ensure accurate and timely reporting across the organization.
    • Provide financial guidance and support to the executive team and key stakeholders, including the board of directors and private equity partners.
    • Utilize your experience with Netsuite and MS 365 to optimize financial systems and reporting capabilities.

    The Requirements:

    • Proven experience as a Finance Controller or similar role, with a strong technical background and hands-on experience in post-acquisition integration.
    • Experience working within private equity-backed businesses and familiarity with the unique challenges and dynamics of such environments.
    • Excellent knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and financial regulations.
    • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a large finance team.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on driving operational efficiency and financial performance.
    • Experience with Netsuite and MS 365 is highly desirable.
    • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.

      Finatal are working with a leading mid-market investor who are a couple of weeks away from completing a private equity-backed buy-out of a leading U.S-headquartered B2B SaaS business and require an experienced interim Integration Director to integrate multiple companies to support the business’s buy and build strategy. This £300m t/o company which is market-leading in their respective industry is looking to close circa 6 international acquisitions (£20-60m EV), and require an experienced professional to lead the integration of these, adding value to this B2B subscription-based business which is looking to exhibit a global buy and build.

      You’ll be working closely with the c-suite to lead the integration of people, processes and systems into this rapidly expanding company, and continually develop the integration playbook and controls to ensure smooth integration across all workstreams for future acquisitions. You will need to drive synergies, operational efficiencies and integration metrics, ultimately maximizing return on investment whilst providing ongoing support and guidance to management teams throughout the integration process.


      Ideally, you’ll have a track record in:

      • Integration of international businesses
      • B2B SaaS or Services experience
      • Private Equity experience
