With an impressive annual turnover of £400 million and an EBITDA of £60 million, they have established themselves as a key player in the market. As they continue to expand through strategic acquisitions, we are seeking a talented finance professional to join their team and drive the integration of our newly acquired entities.

    The Role:

    As the Group Financial Controller, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth integration of acquired entities and the ongoing financial success of their organization. You will lead a large finance team and work closely with the executive team to develop and implement financial strategies that align with their business objectives. Your technical expertise, experience in private equity-backed businesses, and hands-on knowledge of post-acquisition integration will be invaluable in this role.

    • Oversee all aspects of financial control, including financial reporting, planning, and analysis, to ensure compliance with accounting standards and drive business performance.
    • Lead and manage the finance team, providing guidance, mentoring, and support to develop a high-performing and motivated team.
    • Drive the integration process for newly acquired entities, ensuring effective financial consolidation, systems integration, and reporting alignment.
    • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including legal, operations, and IT, to identify and mitigate financial risks associated with acquisitions.
    • Develop and implement robust financial policies, procedures, and controls to ensure accurate and timely reporting across the organization.
    • Provide financial guidance and support to the executive team and key stakeholders, including the board of directors and private equity partners.
    • Utilize your experience with Netsuite and MS 365 to optimize financial systems and reporting capabilities.

    The Requirements:

    • Proven experience as a Finance Controller or similar role, with a strong technical background and hands-on experience in post-acquisition integration.
    • Experience working within private equity-backed businesses and familiarity with the unique challenges and dynamics of such environments.
    • Excellent knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and financial regulations.
    • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a large finance team.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on driving operational efficiency and financial performance.
    • Experience with Netsuite and MS 365 is highly desirable.
    • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
