    Accounting Procedure Consultant

    Location: London (3 days a week in office)

    Length of Contract: 6-9 months

    Compensation: £700-900 per day, outside IR35

    Position Overview: We are seeking an exceptional Technical Accountant to join our client's team on a contract basis. The chosen candidate will play a pivotal role in overhauling the audit process, leading the company through its next audit, and implementing improvements in procedures and controls related to financial management. This is a high-impact role that demands the expertise of a seasoned professional with a keen eye for detail and a passion for driving organizational excellence.


    The role


    • Lead the transformation of the audit process, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
    • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to streamline financial reporting and enhance internal controls.
    • Assess current accounting practices and identify areas for improvement, implementing solutions to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
    • Provide guidance and expertise on complex accounting issues, ensuring adherence to GAAP and other relevant standards.
    • Act as a key liaison with external auditors, managing the audit process from planning to completion.
    • Develop and deliver training programs to enhance the financial acumen of team members and stakeholders.
    • Stay abreast of industry trends and regulatory changes, proactively adapting procedures and controls as needed.


    The requirements


    • ACA/ACCA/CIMA-Qualified
    • Extensive experience in technical accounting roles, with a focus on audit process improvement and financial controls.
    • Strong understanding of GAAP, IFRS, and other accounting standards, with the ability to interpret and apply complex regulations.
    • Proven track record of leading successful audits in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
    • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to identify issues, evaluate alternatives, and implement effective solutions.
    • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
    • Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to accuracy and integrity.
    • Previous experience in the media or advertising industry is a plus.

    Finatal are partnering with a PE backed multi-site healthcare business who are searching for an experienced CFO who can execute on their buy & build strategy. They have acquired 12 sites so far and plan to be at 40 + in the next 2 years. This incoming CFO will need to ensure reporting, systems and controls are strong and will need to implement a clear integration plan for a high volume of acquisitions. They will be investor-savvy, able to execute M&A deals as well as being a sound business partner to the CEO and other senior stakeholders.
