Position Overview: We are seeking an exceptional Technical Accountant to join our client's team on a contract basis. The chosen candidate will play a pivotal role in overhauling the audit process, leading the company through its next audit, and implementing improvements in procedures and controls related to financial management. This is a high-impact role that demands the expertise of a seasoned professional with a keen eye for detail and a passion for driving organizational excellence.

The role

Responsibilities:

Lead the transformation of the audit process, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to streamline financial reporting and enhance internal controls.
Assess current accounting practices and identify areas for improvement, implementing solutions to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Provide guidance and expertise on complex accounting issues, ensuring adherence to GAAP and other relevant standards.
Act as a key liaison with external auditors, managing the audit process from planning to completion.
Develop and deliver training programs to enhance the financial acumen of team members and stakeholders.
Stay abreast of industry trends and regulatory changes, proactively adapting procedures and controls as needed.

The requirements

Qualifications:

ACA/ACCA/CIMA-Qualified
Extensive experience in technical accounting roles, with a focus on audit process improvement and financial controls.
Strong understanding of GAAP, IFRS, and other accounting standards, with the ability to interpret and apply complex regulations.
Proven track record of leading successful audits in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to identify issues, evaluate alternatives, and implement effective solutions.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to accuracy and integrity.
Previous experience in the media or advertising industry is a plus.
