Job Description:

We are looking for a talented Data Engineer who will play a crucial role in the success of our data initiatives. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory and Databricks and be passionate about leveraging data to drive business growth. Reporting directly to an exceptional CTO, you will have the opportunity to work closely with the C-suite, take ownership of projects, and contribute to the strategic roadmap of the organisation.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain data pipelines using Azure Data Factory.
Develop and optimise data models and data architecture to support business requirements.
Implement and configure Databricks for data processing, analysis, and visualization.
Ensure data quality and integrity throughout the data lifecycle.
Collaborate with stakeholders, including the C-suite, to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions.
Build and automate board-level Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to provide actionable insights to the leadership team.
Take ownership of data engineering projects and drive them to successful completion.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Data Engineer, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
Strong proficiency in Azure Data Factory and Databricks.
Experience in data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and data integration.
Solid understanding of data governance, data security, and data management best practices.
Strong SQL skills and proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Scala).
Familiarity with cloud-based data storage (e.g., Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL Data Warehouse).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Self-motivated, with a strong sense of ownership and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
