    Title: Finance Controller

    Location: Manchester (1 day per week in office)

    Position Overview:

    Finatal are partnered with a high growth professional services firm, seeking a hands-on and highly skilled Finance Controller to help lead the finance team through a period of expansion and transformation.

     

    The role

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Oversee all financial operations, including FP&A, KPI monitoring, cashflow forecasting, VAT compliance, payroll review, and audit preparation.
    • Lead and mentor a team of three finance professionals, providing guidance, support, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
    • Evaluate and recommend improvements to financial processes, systems, and controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
    • Utilize your expertise to lead the implementation of NetSuite within the organization, ensuring seamless integration and optimal utilization of the system's capabilities.
    • Act as a key liaison between finance and other departments, providing financial insights and recommendations to support business objectives.
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams to support operational initiatives and identify opportunities for cost optimisation and revenue growth.
    • Assist in the preparation of investor presentations, board materials, and other communications related to financial performance and strategy.

     

    The requirements

    Qualifications:

    • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification or equivalent
    • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy and integrity.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
    • Strong technical acumen, with hands-on experience in implementing and optimizing financial systems (experience with NetSuite is highly desirable).
    • Demonstrated ability to manage and develop a finance team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
