    Title: Financial Controller

    Position Overview:

    Reporting to the Finance Director, the Financial Controller will play a critical role in ensuring the seamless operation of the core finance function. 

     

    The role

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop and document policies and procedures for the finance function, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
    • Manage and mentor junior team members, providing guidance and support to ensure the efficient operation of the finance department.
    • Oversee month-end reporting processes, including preparation of financial statements, variance analysis, and reconciliation of accounts.
    • Support the commercial team with the production of quarterly reporting, providing insights and analysis to aid decision-making.
    • Manage multi-currency reporting and consolidation of group entities, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data.
    • Liaise with third-party providers for tax, payroll, and other financial services, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
    • Prepare annual statutory accounts and liaise with external auditors as required.
    • Reconcile inter-company loan accounts and oversee the preparation of VAT returns.
    • Manage purchase order processes and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
    • Support the Finance Director with cash forecasting and cash flow management, providing insights and recommendations to optimise liquidity.

     

    The requirements

    Qualifications:

    • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification or equivalent.
    • Proven experience in a Finance Manager or Financial Controller role, preferably within the entertainment industry or a related field.
    • Strong understanding of financial regulations and reporting standards.
    • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
    • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial management systems.
    • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

This triple-digit EBITDA company which is market-leading in their respective industry is searching for an experienced professional who will set up the treasury function from scratch, implementing controls and processes where necessary whilst working on all finance activities such as refinancing, capital raising, and debt restructuring.

     

    You’ll be working closely with senior management and lenders to make crucial executive decisions and drive further change throughout the business which has recently undergone a period of rapid growth. The CFO, who has an abundance of international M&A experience and has worked with complex syndicates of private equity houses, has an aligned vision with the investors to expand the business internationally, branching out into new markets.
