    Finatal are partnering exclusively with a Private Equity backed international multi-site business with an impressive turnover of £400 million. The business is growing 10-20% year on year and will continue to grow both organically and via M&A activity.

    As they set their sights on an exit strategy within the next 18 months, we are seeking a talented and ambitious Commercial Finance Director to play a pivotal role in their continued success.

     

    The role

    The Role:

    • Lead the financial planning and forecasting process, providing insightful analysis and recommendations to drive business performance and growth.
    • Develop and implement strategies to optimize profitability and enhance operational efficiency.
    • Partner with senior leadership to evaluate investment opportunities, pricing strategies, and new business initiatives.
    • Oversee the financial reporting process.
    • Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including investors, lenders, and auditors.

     

    The requirements

    The Requirements:

    • Professional Finance Qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
    • Proven track record of success in a senior finance role within a fast-paced and dynamic environment, preferably within the media or advertising industry, with demonstrable experience in time-based billing or relevant sectors.
    • Experience working for a multi-site company (any sector welcome)
    • Strong financial modelling and analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
    • Demonstrated leadership abilities, with experience leading cross-functional teams and driving organizational change.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Strategic mindset, with the ability to think creatively and identify opportunities for growth and value creation.

The business is on track to be a global leader in their field and has had a disruptive impact on the market. 

     

    As Financial Controller, you shall be very hands-on and leading on many technical elements while supporting an excellent and strategic CFO; your primary responsibility will be to oversee and guide the Financial Control Team to deliver all aspects of financial reporting, ensure financial compliance across all entities and to manage the companies' working capital position through the AP, AR and Treasury functions.

     

    This role will offer Great exposure to senior stakeholders and a real opportunity to make a transformative impact on a finance function and see tangible results and growth from your efforts. The business will diversify its revenue streams, broaden its product offering, expand internationally, and implement new systems.  

     

    Financial Reporting:

    • Prepare accurate and timely monthly management accounts and annual financial statements in compliance with regulatory requirements
    • Analyse financial data and present findings to senior management, highlighting key trends and areas for improvement
    • Implement and maintain robust internal controls

    Cash Flow and Working Capital Management:

    • Manage and report on cash flow by monitoring receivables, payables, and liquidity.
    • Develop and implement strategies to optimise working capital and mitigate financial risks
    • Oversee key working capital processes including - Treasury management, Procure to Payment process, Accounts receivable and Credit Management Processes

    Compliance and Risk Management:

    • Work closely with external auditors, tax advisors and other external stakeholders to ensure compliance across all of the companies' entities and jurisdictions

    Technology Integration:

    • Play a major role in the delivery of a new ERP system leveraging financial software and technology to streamline processes and enhance the efficiency of financial operations
