I am currently looking for a VP of Data to join a disruptive Health-Tech business. With the support of a huge Series C of £140m+, & a prestigious Private Equity fund, you will have the opportunity to hire & develop a world-class data practice. The VP of Data is a position for an experienced professional to oversee all aspects of data architecture and modelling, data visualisation, and data science. Following its significant funding, over the last 12 months the business has grown over 250%, and having moved into new offices the foundations are all there for you to take the business to the next level. Communication, gravitas & a personable character will be key as you report directly to the C-Suite & PE Fund when required.
What you’ll do
Communicate resource requirements for additional staff and tools to suit the team’s needs across all business intelligence functions (data architecture, data visualisation, data science) (i.e Tableau/Looker/Snowflake/Redshift etc)
Coordinating resources within the BI team to ensure projects get delivered on time with exceptional quality
Overseeing major analytics projects within the BI team, including the transition of our data warehouse and major cross-database mapping
Support with the training, development, continuous learning / skill development
Maintaining an outcomes and performance-driven culture that rewards high performers
Ensuring the best practices and principles of the Business Intelligence team are supported by robust documentation and SOPs
Expanding on existing Project Management methodologies applied with the team and driving best practices
What we’re looking for
5+ years of experience working in data analytics and visualisation, including at least 3+ years in a managerial function
Experience with data warehousing and architecture, including strong foundational knowledge of ETL pipelines and data architecture
Private Equity/Venture Capital/High-Growth environment
Online, Professional Services, e-commerce, SaaS, Health
Experience working with ‘product’
Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative field (e.g. Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, Finance, Information Systems, etc.)
