The opportunity:
An exciting opportunity has arisen to work at a leading UK venture capital fund, who partner with some of the most exclusive investors and high net worth individuals in the world. The fund is a SME investment manager who have experienced rapid growth in recent months and are looking to expand their team.
The role:
- Managing the overall performance of the portfolio – monitoring the progress of each investment, analysing financial statements, identifying trends and challenges, as well as making strategic decisions to maximize returns
- Conducing due diligence on potential investments – analysing the financial viability and growth potential of proposed investments, examining management teams, market trends and negotiating investment terms
- Developing and maintaining relationships with founders and investors to help nurture and support the performance of their investments
The requirements:
- Strong analytical, communication, interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to identify and evaluate potential investment opportunities, negotiate deals and work collaboratively with investors
- A successful track record of managing a venture capital portfolio and generating returns for investors is essential
