    A PE backed IT Services and Consulting business is seeking to hire their first M&A Director.

    As well as leading the buy and build strategy you will also support the CEO and wider C-Suite with a number of key initiatives/organic growth agendas.

    Duties to include:

    • Developing and driving the groups new M&A strategy.
    • Assisting with origination duties.
    • All aspects of pricing, valuations, and vendor management.
    • Act as the “face” of the business in relation to M&A activities. 
    • Working with advisors to structure deals and agree the SPA.
    • Oversee all DD workstreams – FDD, Tax, and Legal DD to be outsourced.
    • Be responsible for executing all deals.
    • Post completion accounting duties.
    • 100 day planning and working with internal department heads to ensure the efficient integration of acquired businesses.
    • Working with the CEO, CFO, and PE sponsor on a range of organic growth initiatives.

    Candidate requirements:

    • Proven deal execution experience.
    • Prior experience from Transaction Services, Deal Advisory, or Banking.
    • In-house corporate development experience preferred.
    • Prior experience executing deals in the lower mid / mid-market essential.
    • A willingness and ability to help drive origination activities.
    • The ability to bring rigour to M&A and initially work in an unstructured environment
    • First class communication and presentation skills.

    A PE backed software business on a significant buy and build programme requires their first integration lead. 

    The successful candidate will be responsible for developing the integration playbook, acting in a hands-on capacity to drive activity across all workstreams, and will play a vital role in realising synergies and value, post-acquisition.

    To apply for this position you must speak English, plus an additional European language, ideally French or German.

    Duties to include:

    • Responsible for creating and developing a best-in-class integration team and capability.
    • Development of a group wide integration playbook / framework capable of seamlessly integrating 1 acquisition per month.
    • Work collaboratively with the M&A team to support on executing due diligence and to ensure integrations are front of mind at all stages of the M&A cycle.
    • Act as lead and drive all integration workstreams across the business – Finance, HR/People, I.T, Sales, etc.
    • Chair the integration SteerCo and all integration meetings.
    • Keep the Board (including the PE sponsor) up to date with all key integration activity.
    • Drive continual improvements to integration processes and systems to ensure they are fit for purpose for the expanding group.
    • Drive continual post-integration activities to ensure ongoing realisation of synergies and value creation.
    • Act as point of contact for any integration queries / escalations.
    • Working with the COO, CFO, and CEO on a range of key projects and initiatives.

    Candidate Requirements:

This a new role that will play a key role in the success of the group and is a great opportunity to gain experience in a fast-paced, growing PE-backed business. This role is a successor role suited to an individual looking to step into an FD/CFO role in 5 years.

    The Role:

    • Commercial/ FP&A: Building budgets and forecasts and looking at the strategy within them. Building the business plan, looking at business profitability.
    • Technical: Running the audit, overlooking tax compliance and group consolidations while reviewing and overlooking the accounting of 2 management accountants.
