    Position Overview:

    Finatal are supporting a PE backed services business, seeking an M&A Associate to support the M&A Director with the execution of all M&A activity. You will conduct thorough due diligence, financial analysis, and market research to identify opportunities, assess potential risks, and provide valuable insights that inform their decision-making process.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Support the Group M&A Director with the identification of potential acquisition targets aligned with our strategic objectives and growth initiatives.
    • Conduct comprehensive financial analysis, including valuation modelling, financial statement analysis, and scenario planning.
    • Carry out FDD to ensure that all acquisitions are viable.
    • Create IMs and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to senior management and PE partners.
    • Assist in negotiations and deal structuring, contributing insights on valuation and terms.
    • Develop and maintain financial models to evaluate the financial impact of potential acquisitions and track post-acquisition performance.
    • Work closely with the Integration Manager to ensure the seamless integration of all acquisitions.
    • Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and market dynamics to inform acquisition strategies.
    • Support the preparation of Board and investor presentations related to M&A activities.

    Qualifications:

    • ACA/ACCA qualification or equivalent
    • At least 1-2 years’ experience in Transaction Services and excellent FDD capabilities is essential.
    • Excellent analytical and quantitative abilities with acute attention to detail.
    • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for conveying complex financial information.
    • Proficiency in using financial databases and tools for market research and data analysis.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
