As they continue to grow and expand, they are seeking an experienced Information Security Officer to join the Legal & Risk team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in information security, a solid understanding of the GDPR, and the ability to support the legal team with their expertise.

    Job Description: The Information Security Officer will be responsible for leading and driving the implementation and execution of IT security measures, certifications, and audits within our organization. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to establish appropriate standards and associated risk controls, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our data assets. Additionally, you will contribute to the development and implementation of information security policies, concepts, and standards, while supervising IT security incidents and investigations.

    As part of your role, you will collaborate with the Data Protection Officer to implement privacy procedures and policies. Furthermore, your legal background will be valuable in supporting the broader legal team with reviewing and negotiating Data Protection Agreements and providing commercial expertise in information security-related contracts and proposals.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead and drive the implementation and execution of IT security measures, certifications, and audits.
    • Establish appropriate standards and associated risk controls to protect data assets.
    • Create, review, and approve updates and implementation of information security policies, concepts, and standards.
    • Supervise IT security incidents and investigations.
    • Initiate and monitor regular training of relevant personnel on IT security.
    • Provide commercial expertise by revising and drafting information security-related clauses in contracts and RFPs.
    • Support Sales and Front Office Operations with information security questionnaires, contracts, tenders, RFPs, and SLAs.
    • Contribute to building an in-house information security knowledge base to support commercial and legal processes.
    • Work collaboratively in a team composed of information security, legal, privacy, and risk management experts.

    Requirements:

    • Hold a Master's degree or equivalent in IT, with specialization in IT Security and proven experience in the field, preferably as a consultant.
    • Possess knowledge of international information security standards.
    • Familiarity with information security risk management, such as ISO 27005.
    • General understanding of privacy principles, with specific knowledge of GDPR.
    • Fluent English speaker, with proficiency in a second language considered a plus.
    • Creative, self-motivated, and proactive, with a problem-solving mindset and ability to take ownership of tasks.
    • Strategic thinker with excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
    • Ability to assess risk and recommend solutions that balance business and risk perspectives while meeting strict deadlines.
    • Flexible and eager to work on a broad range of activities combining information security with legal matters.
