    Central London, Hybrid role, 4 days in office

    Salary - £90,000 -£100,000 + 20% Bonus + Substantial Equity

    The Company: We are working with a fast-growing lifestyle FMCG whose products promote wellness in a progressive way. These innovative products tap into three enormous worldwide trends and rank very highly in the European and global markets. They have experienced rapid expansion in the last few years and recent Private Equity investment means this growth is projected to snowball. A strong, hands-on Head of Finance is needed to harness this radical growth and propel the brand’s disruptive innovation forwards. Working directly with the CFO, a 20-year veteran of multiple successful high-growth FMCG businesses, the right candidate will receive a training budget enabling them to fill out their own team and undertake the role of Finance Director, approximately 9 months in. A succession plan is built into this role, which is will ultimately lead to stepping up to CFO in 3-5 years.

    The Position:

    As Head of Finance, you will play a pivotal early role in the brand’s continued growth, making broad decisions spanning strategic leadership and the hands-on running of both the commercial and technical sides of finance. This role will suit an individual willing to get ‘stuck in’, developing processes to match the rapid scaling of function. You will be a key member of the senior leadership team and the CFO’s right-hand and natural successor.

    Responsibilities:

    • Represent Finance as a key voice in strategic decisions, alongside the CFO.
    • Perform due diligence and modelling for mergers and acquisitions.
    • Integrate systems as part of M&A advancement.
    • Lead and develop a finance team as the business grows.
    • Ownership of a strong internal control environment; driving efficiency through process enhancement and ERP system development.
    • Lead the annual budget and quarterly forecast processes and play a key role in developing the 5-year plan.
    • Lead year-end audit and statutory accounts process.
    • Perform various ad hoc analyses for the CFO, Senior Leadership team and Board.

    Qualifications and skills:

    • ACA qualified.
    • 4+ years in an accounting practice.
    • 3+ years in a consumer FMCG business is essential.
    • Experience as a #1 or #2 in a very small finance team.
    • Skilled in audit and managing treasury/banking.
    • Knows Xero accounting system.
    • Experience with D2C e-commerce or EDI setup are nice to have.
