    Finatal are partnering with a a leading international education business backed by Private Equity, currently on an exciting trajectory towards a strategic exit. With an impressive turnover and a remarkable 40% EBITDA, it is a highly acquisitive and growth-focused organization committed to shaping the future of education. As the business continues to expand our portfolio and global presence, we are seeking a dynamic and skilled professional to join us as the Head of Accounting & Tax.

     

     

    The role

    • Lead and manage the accounting and tax functions of the organization.
    • Ensure compliance with international accounting standards and tax regulations.
    • Provide strategic financial guidance to support the business's growth objectives.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline financial processes.
    • Oversee financial reporting and analysis to facilitate informed decision-making.
    • Drive initiatives to optimize tax efficiency and mitigate risks.
    • Contribute to the development and execution of the company's exit or IPO strategy.

    The requirements

    • Professional finance qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
    • Proven experience in a technical and tax-driven role, ideally within a high-growth environment.
    • Technical proficiency in accounting standards and tax regulations.
    • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a high-performing team.
    • Experience in an education or multisite business with a track record of high growth, acquisitions, or institutional investment is highly desirable.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

    Location:

    This role is based in our Central London office, and the successful candidate is expected to be present 3-4 days per week.

The role involves deciphering valuable insights from extensive data sets from a range of sources and aiding the data-driven decision making process throughout the organization. You will be working closely with cross-functional teams across the business and will work with stakeholders to translate business requirements into analytics solutions to elevate e-commerce strategies.  

    Experience in a Private Equity environment is essential.
