The Opportunity
Finatal are currently working exclusively with a Private Equity Backed Multisite Healthcare business searching for a Group Financial Controller. Due to rapid expansion seen through an aggressive buy and build strategy, the hire has become pivotal to support the CFO through all things acquisition integration and ever more complex group consolidation work. With a pipeline of acquisitions to make, this role would best suit a dynamic and driven individual ready to step up into the role.
Reporting directly to the CFO and working closely with the Private Equity investors on a day-to-day basis, this is an exciting opportunity for the correct candidate. The role responsibilities not only encompass the day-to-day finances of the business but also presents a commercial candidate with opportunity to have a hands-on approach to support the growth of the business.
The Role
Taking full ownership of running day to day finance, reporting into a top-quality PE CFO, including responsibility for all controls and processes at Group level.
Further develop a strong and stable finance team, making improvements and ensuring the function is operating to the highest possible standard.
Professionalise and develop the Finance Function to nurture and aid the aggressive growth trajectory the business is on.
Key role in M&A, and latterly integration activity across the group.
Ensure that financial controls and processes are in place and adhered to across all the group.
Support the CFO and Head of FP&A in preparation of the annual budget and financial forecasts.
Working with operational teams to identify and implement cost-saving initiatives.
Supporting System implementation and identifying key improvements when necessary.
Requirements
Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA) who is preferably 3-6 years PQE.
Excellent Interpersonal skills building trusted relationships with all parts of the business.
Previous experience of working in a multisite business with complex group consolidations is a must for the candidate.
Willingness to jump into cultural projects building the ethos of the brand.
Excellent presentation skills and willingness to learn in a dynamic, fast paced environment.
