Finatal is partnering with a high-growth, tech-enabled e-commerce business backed by multiple leading Venture Capital and Private Equity firms. The business is on a clear path towards organic expansion and a strategic exit within the next three-four years. We are looking for a Financial Controller to join our finance team, reporting directly to the CFO. As the number two in finance, you will play a pivotal role in managing accounting, financial reporting, and process improvement within the organisation. You will lead a team of 4 talented finance professionals, ensuring that financial operations run smoothly and adhere to the highest standards.

The Role:

Oversee the day-to-day financial operations, including accounting, financial reporting, and budget management.
Ensure compliance with PE/VC reporting standards and maintain a strong control environment.
Collaborate with the CFO in strategic financial decision-making and long-term financial planning.
Manage a team of 4 finance professionals, providing leadership and guidance.
Continuously improve and optimize financial processes to support the company's growth trajectory.
Monitor and enhance internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
Assist in developing and implementing financial policies and procedures.
Work on international financial operations as the company expands its footprint across Europe.

The Requirements:

Professional accounting qualification (ideally ACA or ACCA).
Strong technical proficiency in accounting and financial reporting.
Experience working in a high-growth, fast-paced environment.
Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
Proven experience in managing financial operations and improving financial processes.
Gravitas to thrive in an ever-changing business environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
Experience in working with Venture Capital or Private Equity-backed businesses is a plus.
