We are seeking a seasoned and strategic Finance Director to take a pivotal role in the finance team. Reporting directly to an accomplished CFO, you will be a critical finance leader responsible for both technical and commercial accounting. Your role will extend to building and nurturing relationships with external clients to drive growth. Managing the entire finance function, including systems, controls, and processes, as well as budgeting, forecasting, and planning, will be your key focus.
Lead a high-performing team of 5 finance professionals to achieve excellence in financial management.
The Role:
Financial Leadership: Partner closely with the CFO in shaping financial strategy and driving business growth through financial excellence.
Team Management: Lead and develop a team of finance professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
Technical Accounting: Ensure compliance with accounting standards, implement best practices in financial reporting and controls, and manage financial audits.
Commercial Accounting: Build and maintain relationships with external clients, supporting business development and growth initiatives.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Oversee the budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and M&A activities.
M&A Support: Play a key role in evaluating potential acquisitions, conducting due diligence, and integrating acquired businesses into our financial framework.
Financial Operations: Manage end-to-end financial operations, including financial systems, controls, processes, and reporting.
Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the leadership team to develop long-term financial plans that support our growth objectives.
The Requirements:
Professional finance qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
Proven experience in a senior finance role, with a strong background in both technical and commercial accounting.
Demonstrated ability to manage and lead a finance function, including a team of professionals.
Expertise in financial modelling, budgeting, forecasting, and financial systems.
Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills to engage with external clients and internal stakeholders.
Experience in M&A due diligence and integration is highly desirable.
