    The Opportunity:

    Finatal are mandated by a highly commercial, private equity backed scale up who are looking for a Finance Business Partner to join their finance team. With the main focus on growth, this role is pivotal in driving the business forwards and contributing to the overall success of the brand. Managing a team of three and partnering with the senior management teams, this role requires someone with strong interpersonal skills and ability to influence.

    Sitting in an SME environment, there are lots of projects to get involved with as well as immediate value add wins to be had. Managing a team of juniors who complete day-day finance. This role is a fantastic next step for someone looking for a broad, commercial opportunity with scope to develop under a very impressive CFO.


    The role

    The Role:

    • You’ll take full ownership of the preparation of the monthly management accounts, as well as preparing partner reports, board reports and interdepartmental expenditure reports.
    • You will ensure the weekly and monthly cash flows are regularly updated and provide an accurate representation of the expected future cash flow. You’ll also help create and analyse departmental and site budgets and obtain reasons for variances and instil good budgetary practice across the business.
    • You’ll be ultimately responsible for the accuracy of each Company’s books. You’ll be working closely with the Finance Coordinator to ensure that all ledgers are tidy: debts are being regularly chased, key suppliers are paid on time, banks are reconciled and all purchase invoices are accurate and minimise the risks from fraud or error.
    • As a continually growing business, with each new site we create a new SPV, you will be expected to identify existing inefficiencies and potential future inefficiencies, and propose solutions so the team can continue to produce accurate information on a timely basis for the foreseeable future.
    • Working as part of a team of four you won’t be afraid to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in. You’ll also manage our Finance Coordinator and Accounts Apprentice on a day to day basis - acting as their go-to for support, guidance and training.

    • Demonstrable accounting/bookkeeping experience, ideally within a multi-site/location/department SME environment or multi project
    • Able to plan and organise your work so that it is efficient and effective
    • Impeccable attention to detail: demonstrating accuracy in your work
    • Able to adapt as situations and circumstances change
    • Have been involved in the whole management accounts process: pre-month end close, month end close, month end reporting and year end reporting
    • Able to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, internal and external

    This is a unique opportunity to join a commercial, high growth real estate company with some very impressive senior leaders. The role will be hands on and a great platform to develop a strong Finance Business Partner skillset. You will partner with the CFO, Head of Finance and various other Heads of across the group.

The business seeks a high calibre, analytical and dynamic, leader in finance to drive on their growth journey through a mix of both service offering and inorganic growth. They are currently operating at c. £5m EBITDA with the goal and ambition to triple in size. The successful candidate will become business partner to incumbent CEO and lead on the strategy, setting KPIS to drive the business towards an eventual exit, in c. 3-4 years’ time.


    What we look for:

    • Must be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
    • Worked alongside PE in a growth setting; either as CFO or number 2 ready to step up
