Finatal is exclusively searching for a Divisional Finance Director to join a PE backed Construction business going through an impressive, buy-and-build driven, period of rapid growth. Candidates with exit and transaction experience will likely have an edge, particularly if ACA or equiv, qualified. Candidates MUST have construction (property, infrastructure, engineering etc) experience, in particular, financial contracts experience ranging from week long projects up to a year. You will be working alongside a highly qualified CFO who is eager to share his expertise and is planning to retire post exit, leaving opportunity to progress. The company is set to exit in the next 12-18months so need someone dedicated, driven and well-practiced within the construction, and ideally PE space.
You will be responsible for a team of 10 whilst diversifying and professionalising the finance function to further acquisitions and aid in a smooth and successful exit. Whilst liaising with stakeholders and investors, you will also be reporting directly into the CFO. Additionally, candidates will be tasked with galvanising improvements of financial systems, processes, and controls.
Requirements:
- Candidates who are ACA, or ACCA if ample private equity and exit experience is provided.
- MUST have Construction (or infrastructure, engineering, property development, housebuilders etc) and short term financial contract experience. This is essential.
- Able to commute, for up to 3 days a week
- Has experience with M&A/Buy-and-builds
- Ideally have gone through at least one exit, or if that exit was unsuccessful, done the preparation work behind it.
- Are desiring a fast paced career with opportunities for progression.
