They have raised over $25million in funding to date and successfully completed their Series A round last year. With the Series B fundraising on the horizon, they are on track for 70% year-on-year growth in 2023. Their mission is to empower students globally making higher education accessible and cost-effective for all.
Job Description:
As the Chief Financial Officer, you will play a pivotal role in steering the financial strategy and execution of their ambitious growth plans. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be an integral part of the leadership team, responsible for overseeing financial operations, fundraising efforts, and international financial reporting. Your expertise will be instrumental in building a high-performing, scalable finance function that supports their mission and vision.
Key Responsibilities:
Fundraising Leadership: Lead and manage their Series B fundraising efforts, collaborating closely with investors and stakeholders to secure necessary capital for our growth initiatives.
Financial Analysis: Provide insightful financial analysis and strategic recommendations to guide decision-making, including pricing strategies, cost optimisation, and revenue forecasting.
Financial Reporting: Oversee and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting across their international entities, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
Finance Team Building: Recruit, mentor, and develop a top-tier finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop and manage budgets and financial forecasts to align with growth targets and business objectives.
Risk Management: Implement robust risk management processes, identify potential financial risks, and develop mitigation strategies.
Strategic Financial Planning: Collaborate with the executive team to shape and execute long-term financial strategies that drive growth and profitability.
Quafications:
Proven track record of successfully leading fundraising efforts in a high-growth environment.
Extensive experience in financial analysis, modeling, and reporting.
Strong knowledge of SaaS business models and metrics.
Experience managing finance teams and fostering a culture of growth and development.
International finance and reporting expertise is a plus.
Qualified Accountant – ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent
