Finatal are retained on a CFO search for a rapidly growing Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) company who have recently completed a successful Series A fundraising round with a prominent Venture Capitalist fund. With a projected YoY growth rate of 80% and an existing Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) of £4 million, the company is poised to become a market leader in its industry. To support its ambitious expansion plans and strategic objectives, the company is seeking a strategic and commercially minded CFO to lead its finance function.
The CFO will assume a crucial role in guiding the company's financial strategy and execution. Working closely with the executive team, the CFO will report directly to the CEO and provide vital financial insights and advice to drive informed decision-making. This opportunity offers an ideal platform for a highly skilled and experienced finance professional to contribute to the company's rapid growth and prepare it for a successful sale within three years.
Financial Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive financial strategy that aligns with the company's growth objectives, ensuring its long-term financial health.
Investor Relations: Serve as a key liaison for the Venture Capitalist fund, delivering regular updates on financial performance, key metrics, and growth opportunities.
Financial Planning and Analysis: Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes, providing accurate and insightful financial analysis to support strategic decision-making and resource allocation.
Capital Management: Oversee capital allocation and fundraising activities, including debt and equity financing, to fuel the company's growth plans.
Risk Management: Establish robust internal controls, policies, and procedures to mitigate financial and operational risks.
Mergers and Acquisitions: Collaborate with the executive team in evaluating potential acquisition opportunities and actively participate in due diligence processes.
Team Leadership: Manage and develop a high-performing finance team, including the finance controller, to ensure the delivery of accurate and timely financial reporting.
Proven Experience: The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 8-10 years of progressive finance leadership experience, with a strong background in high-growth technology companies, preferably within the SaaS industry.
Strategic Mindset: Demonstrated ability to develop and execute financial strategies aligned with business objectives, supporting rapid growth and scalability.
Investor Relations: Experience working closely with Venture Capitalists or other institutional investors, providing financial updates and maintaining strong relationships.
Financial Analysis: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a track record of providing strategic insights based on financial data and metrics.
M&A Experience: Previous involvement in mergers and acquisitions, including due diligence and integration processes, is highly desirable.
Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and develop a finance team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
Qualifications: Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or Equivalent)
