    A PE backed professional services business already engaged in a European buy and build programme needs to add to existing capabilities within M&A via the addition of an experienced M&A Manager.

    The HQ is in Scotland, but you will be offered home/flexible working, meaning that both candidates based in Scotland, and the north of England can be considered for this post.  The expectation is to be in the office twice per week as a minimum.  There will be a requirement to travel across the U.K and Europe in this post.

    The role:

    • Ultimately responsible for the execution of deals.
    • Assessing the pipeline for strategic fit/alignment to the M&A strategy.
    • Owning pricing and valuation duties.
    • All modelling and forecasting duties as required.
    • Act as point of contact for vendors, bankers, advisors, etc.
    • Take a lead role in the negotiation process.
    • Oversee the completion of all the outsourced DD workstreams.
    • Support in driving origination activities.
    • Post-completion accounting duties.
    • 100 day planning to assist in the integration of newly acquired businesses.
    • Work with the integration team as required to answer queries and ensure integrations are on track.
    • Completion of all pitch / M&A related documentation.

    Candidate background:

    • Likely ACA qualified with experience from Corporate Finance, Transaction Services, or similar.
    • Prior “in-house” corporate development experience.
    • Prior experience of executing deals in the mid / lower mid-market.
    • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
    • Proven ability to run multiple concurrent processes / projects.
    • Proven modeller.
