Senior Data Scientist

The opportunity
I am currently working with the fastest growing Professional Services business, which has recently received circa £100 million in funding from a prestigious mid-market Private Equity fund situated across the UK and US. You will be joining an extremely fast-paced and collaborative environment, with the opportunity to work in their new state of the art offices across the US and Europe. The role will require a candidate to define and lead advanced analytical/Machine Learning projects, driving innovation using AI and complex modelling techniques.
The role
- Design and implement machine learning techniques to maximise customer insights from various big data sources.
- Deliver high impact visualizations & statistical analysis to influence key business decisions and contribute towards future growth plans.
- Contribute to extensive research and development of state-of-the-art ML models, including NLP, Logistic and Linear, whilst collaborating with other Scientists/Engineers.
- Liaise with key stakeholders across the business to understand business requirements, translate them into technical requirements for the team and ensure projects are completed accurately and efficiently.
The requirements
- Minimum degree, preferably STEM based.
- Exceptional proficiency in Python/SQL.
- Beneficial experience working with AWS and big data processing technologies such as S3, Sagemaker, Redshift, EMR and Spark.
- Hands on experience with a variety of modelling techniques, including NLP, Classification, Linear and Logistic.
- Beneficial experience working with a matchmaking SaaS product, helping to automate manual processes with ML techniques.
