    Finatal has an exciting opportunity to join a PE-backed health tech business as a Power BI Analyst. In this role, you will play a critical role in building their data analytics capabilities, with a specific emphasis on finance data, by designing, developing, and implementing Power BI solutions to empower data-driven decision-making across the organisation. The contract will be on a 6-month contract basis, outside IR35 with a hybrid model working 2/3 days a week in their London office.

    Responsibilities:

    • Lead the implementation of Power BI from scratch, with a strong focus on finance data, working closely with stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into actionable dashboards and reports.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, to gather and analyse financial data from various sources, ensuring data accuracy and integrity throughout the process.
    • Develop and maintain robust data models, measures, and visualisations using Power BI, specifically tailored for finance-related insights and reporting.
    • Create interactive and visually compelling dashboards, reports, and analytical tools that effectively communicate financial performance, trends, and metrics to stakeholders.
    • Conduct deep-dive financial analysis using Power BI, providing valuable insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making and optimise financial performance.
    • Stay up to date with the latest Power BI features and best practices, as well as emerging trends in finance analytics, to continuously enhance the data analytics capabilities of the organisation.

    Requirements:

    • Proven experience in implementing Power BI solutions from scratch, with a strong emphasis on finance data analysis, including financial modelling, report creation, and dashboard development.
    • Advanced proficiency in DAX, SQL, and other relevant data manipulation techniques.
    • Strong understanding of finance concepts, financial reporting, and analysis.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to extract meaningful insights from complex financial data sets.
    • Experience in the Private Equity portfolio/ fund space is a bonus
