    The opportunity

    An established PE backed financial services business on a significant buy and build growth strategy is seeking a new M&A Manager to bolster the M&A teams existing capabilities.

    Reporting to the M&A Director, you will lead on all aspects of the deal cycle, targeting acquisitions in the £5m to £50m EV range.

    The role

    • Deal origination activities - Utilising advisors, the internal BD team, and your own outreach to drive pipeline development.
    • Assessing the pipeline for deals which fit strategically.
    • Undertaking all valuation and forecasting activities.
    • Responsible for deal structuring, SPAs, etc.
    • All aspects of vendor management throughout the deal cycle, and beyond.
    • Oversight of all DD workstreams.
    • Ensuring the execution of deals within agreed timelines.
    • 100 day planning / creating the platform for successful integrations and synergy realisation.
    • Working with the integration project team to ensure integration timelines are met.  Keep the Board (including PE Sponsor) updated on integration milestones.
    • Post-completion accounting duties.
    • Working with the M&A Director, CFO, and wider C-Suite on a range of organic growth initiatives.

    The requirements

    • Ideally ACA or CA qualified.
    • Experienced gained within a top tier accounting firms Transaction Services or Corporate Finance practice preferable.
    • Circa. 2-5 years post qualified experience (QPE).
    • Financial Services and/or regulated industries experience highly desirable.
    • Excellent modelling, DD, and deal execution experience.
    • First class communication and presentation skills essential.
    • High EQ with the ability to manage often inexperienced vendors through the entire deal cycle.

    A leading international telecoms business is seeking to appoint an Associate Director, Corporate Development to a newly created position.  Due to continued growth (derived from both organic and in-organic means) this new position has been created to provide more capabilities to the existing team to ensure growth targets are met. 

    All candidates must have emerging markets experience, as well as prior experience of working on Data Centre, Towers, or other Telecoms Infrastructure deals.

    All candidates must also be comfortable with regular international travel.

    Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Act as lead on all aspects of the deal cycle, bringing together internationally dispersed teams and advisor to complete transactions.
    • Deputise for the Head of Corporate Development, and attend regular investment committee, Board, and other senior level meetings as corporate development/strategy lead.
    • Driving origination activities for acquisitions, investments, and potential partnership/JV opportunities.
    • Acting as strategic advisor to the business, driving organic growth across all business lines and geographies.
    • Management of all pricing and valuation activities.

    • Ideally a current, or former Investment Banker.  Flexible for candidates with strong telecoms deals experience.
    • The ability to mentor and develop juniors.
    • Proven ability to lead on both buy and sell-side transactions.
    • Willing to travel on a regular basis – likely one week per month.
