    An acquisitive PE-backed Telecommunications company are looking to hire an M&A Manager to drive their growth strategy.

    The role

    The successful candidate will be charismatic and possess the ability to adapt their communication and presentation style according to the audience.

    This person will be integral in helping drive UK-wide growth via an aggressive buy-and-build strategy, playing an active role in all aspects of the deal cycle from origination to integration.

    Origination:

    • Identify and research M&A opportunities, following market research and market mapping activities.
    • Undertake analysis on potential acquisitions to assess strategic fit.
    • Critically analyse the potential impact of deals on the business.
    • Assist in preparing investment committee papers for review by the IC.

     

    Negotiation & Execution:

    • Carry out pricing, valuations, and all financial modelling in relation to acquisitions.
    • Oversee the outsourcing of due diligence and ensure respective deadlines are met.
    • Act as a point of contact and build strong relations with vendors and advisors.
    • Assist in producing SPA documents.

     

    Integration:

    • Work with the CFO on post-completion accounting.
    • 100 day planning activities and assisting with driving value creation and synergy realization activity.
    • Work closely with the internal integration team to answer any queries and offer advice as required.

     

    The requirements

    Qualifications:

    • Telecommunications deals experience must.
    • ACA qualified (or equivalent)
    • 2 years + of Lead Advisory/Corporate Finance/M&A experience.
    • Brilliant communication and relationship-building skills.
    • Experience working with, or advising, businesses engaged in a buy and build or roll-up strategy (not essential but advantageous).

    Finatal are working with a leading mid-market investor who require an experienced interim CFO to guide their professional services asset through a financial transformation. This circa £90m t/o business was acquired circa 12 months ago after having undergone a period of significant growth and the investors are now seeking an accomplished Private Equity CFO to play a key role in reshaping the financial success of their distressed asset through leading a critical refinancing programme.

    You’ll be working closely with the CEO and the investors who have a successful track record in distressed asset turnarounds. They are looking for an individual who able to adopt a ‘hands-on’ approach to make crucial executive decisions and drive a significant restructuring of the business in a highly leveraged environment.

    You’ll be responsible for liaising with banks and lenders on all negotiations. One of your first tasks as interim CFO will be to quickly run a full diagnostic on this asset and its subsidiaries to better understand the company’s cash position, covenants position, and ultimately initiate a restructuring plan that will enable them to scale internationally in the future. You will be required on-site at their headquarters in East London 1 day per week.
