    M&A Associate

    Salary: £70-90K, plus bonus

    Location: London, flexible working






    • Finatal is mandated by a global insurance business, backed by one of the best renowned PE houses in the world. They are seeking an M&A Associate to support the wider M&A team with the origination and execution of all M&A transactions.



    • Collaborate with the M&A team to identify potential acquisition targets in alignment with business objectives.
    • Conduct thorough financial analysis and due diligence on potential targets, including assessing the target's financial performance, competitive position, and growth prospects.
    • Prepare detailed financial models, valuation analyses, and investment recommendations.
    • Assist in the negotiation and structuring of M&A transactions.
    • Coordinate and manage cross-functional teams involved in the M&A process, including legal, finance, and operational departments.
    • Support and communicate with the integration team throughout the deal process, to ensure a smooth transition which captures synergies.
    • Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive landscape to identify new opportunities and assess potential risks.



    • ACA/ACCA qualification or equivalent
    • Proven experience in investment banking, corporate development, private equity, or a similar role with a focus on mergers and acquisitions.
    • Insurance deals experience and a thorough understanding of the sector is essential.
    • Strong financial modelling and valuation skills, with proficiency in Excel and financial analysis tools.
    • Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
    • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team environment.
    • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.


    • Interim Chief Financial Officer
      £900 - £1,100

      Interim Chief Financial Officer

      Location: West Midlands

      Day Rate: £900 - £1100 per day

      Finatal are working with a mid-market PE investor who have invested in a renewable business and require an Interim CFO with experience in professionalisation and growth. You will be working closely with the CEO in a fast-growing portfolio company, where your first task will be to restructure finance operations and implement rigour in order to drive financial performance improvements. You must provide complete reporting to the board, be comfortable with working capital, and have previous experience with managing covenants and bank relationships.


    • Group Financial Controller – Financial Services  
      £100,000 - £110,000

      Finatal are currently partnering with highly acquisitive Financial Services company recently backed by a leading mid-market Private equity fund and are searching for a new Financial Controller to be an integral part of their strategic growth journey.

      The desired individual would be technically and commercially strong with previous experience in an M&A environment.

    • Senior FP&A Analyst  
      £80,000 - £90,000

      Finatal are on a search for a FP&A analyst to join a highly profitable Private Equity backed Professional services.  The opportunity has arisen due to the continued growth following a secondary PE buyout; therefore, they need a dynamic FP&A analyst to be a crucial part of their continued acquisitive growth.
