    Role:

    • Finatal is mandated by a global insurance business, backed by one of the best renowned PE houses in the world. They are seeking an M&A Associate to support the wider M&A team with the origination and execution of all M&A transactions.

     

    Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate with the M&A team to identify potential acquisition targets in alignment with business objectives.
    • Conduct thorough financial analysis and due diligence on potential targets, including assessing the target's financial performance, competitive position, and growth prospects.
    • Prepare detailed financial models, valuation analyses, and investment recommendations.
    • Assist in the negotiation and structuring of M&A transactions.
    • Coordinate and manage cross-functional teams involved in the M&A process, including legal, finance, and operational departments.
    • Support and communicate with the integration team throughout the deal process, to ensure a smooth transition which captures synergies.
    • Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive landscape to identify new opportunities and assess potential risks.

     

    Qualifications:

    • ACA/ACCA qualification or equivalent
    • Proven experience in investment banking, corporate development, private equity, or a similar role with a focus on mergers and acquisitions.
    • Insurance deals experience and a thorough understanding of the sector is essential.
    • Strong financial modelling and valuation skills, with proficiency in Excel and financial analysis tools.
    • Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
    • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team environment.
    • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
