The opportunity
A Private Equity-Backed, large-cap multi-site business based in Central London is seeking an experienced Interim Technical Director to lead their statutory audit and year end processes. This is a highly critical role that requires a seasoned professional with a proven track record in leading complex audits and financial reporting for large businesses.
The role
- Lead the statutory audit and year end processes for the business, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards
- Work closely with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and the preparation of financial statements
- Manage the relationships with external auditors and other external stakeholders
- Ensure that all financial controls and procedures are in place and are operating effectively
- Provide technical expertise to the finance team and other departments as required
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
The requirements
- Qualified Accountant with a minimum of 10 years' experience in leading statutory audits and year end processes for large businesses
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP
- Experience in Private Equity-backed businesses is highly desirable
- Excellent leadership and management skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
