    Interim Group Financial Controller

    I am working with a PE-Backed Large Cap Pharmaceuticals business seeking to recruit an experienced Interim Group Financial Controller to join them - stabilizing function during a time of transition. The successful candidate will be accountable for managing all facets of financial operations, ensuring tight financial governance, regulatory compliance, and fixing issues within the team.

    Role Responsibilities:

    • Work with the senior leadership team to develop and execute an overall finance strategy, including financial reporting across multiple sites and currencies.
    • Responsible for managing the consolidated financial statements and monthly accounting close processes.
    • Ensure internal and external reporting requirements are met, including timely and accurate preparation of financial statements and audit compliance.
    • Implement best practices in financial controls and risk management, ensuring appropriate finance systems and processes are implemented across the organisation.
    • Provide leadership, mentoring, and coaching as needed to the finance team.

    Skills & Experience Required:

    • ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified with good experience in a senior finance role within a multinational environment.
    • Experience in Pharmaceuticals is a must.
    • Strong technical accounting skills and experience closing the books under IFRS.
    • Proven experience of implementing robust financial controls and a high degree of process orientation.
    • Experience working with private equity investors and understanding of associated reporting requirements and governance structures.
    • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and team leadership skills.
