    Finatal are working with a private equity backed healthcare business who are undergoing rapid growth through a strong M&A strategy. As part of their growth strategy they are seeking an Azure Data Architect on a 9 month basis to support their greenfield data project to drive their data initiatives and drive innovation across their organisation.


    They are seeking an Azure Data Architect to lead the design, implementation, and optimisation of their data infrastructure as part of the project. You will play a pivotal role in shaping their data architecture and strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements. This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact in a fast-paced environment and contribute to the success of a dynamic healthcare organisation.



    The role

    Develop and Execute Data Strategy:

    • Define and execute a comprehensive data strategy aligned with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
    • Identify key data initiatives to drive operational efficiency, improve decision-making, and enhance patient outcomes.
    • Collaborate with executive leadership to prioritize data initiatives and allocate resources effectively.


    Data Architecture Design and Implementation:

    • Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of Azure-based data architecture, including data lakes, data warehouses, and data pipelines.
    • Evaluate and select appropriate Azure services and tools to support diverse data processing and analytics needs.
    • Implement scalable and resilient data solutions to accommodate the organization's growing data volumes and complexity.


    Data Modelling and Governance:

    • Define and enforce data modelling standards and best practices to ensure consistency, integrity, and performance across all data assets.
    • Establish data governance policies, procedures, and controls to maintain data quality, privacy, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
    • Implement data cataloguing and metadata management solutions to facilitate data discovery and lineage tracking


    Data Security and Compliance:

    • Implement robust data security measures to protect sensitive information and prevent unauthorized access or data breaches.
    • Ensure compliance with relevant data protection regulations, such as HIPAA, GDPR, and other industry-specific standards.
    • Conduct regular audits and assessments to monitor compliance with data security and privacy policies.


    Stakeholder Collaboration:

    • Collaborate with business stakeholders, data analysts, and application developers to understand their data requirements and provide technical guidance and support.
    • Engage with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for leveraging data insights to drive business value and improve patient care outcomes.
    • Communicate effectively with executive leadership and board members to provide updates on data strategy execution, milestones, and achievements.


    Documentation and Knowledge Sharing:

    • Document data architecture designs, configurations, and operational procedures to ensure knowledge transfer and continuity.
    • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of data models, data flows, and data governance frameworks.
    • Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate stakeholders and team members on data architecture principles, best practices, and tools.

    Finatal are working with a leading mid-market investor who require an experienced interim CFO to guide their professional services asset through a financial transformation. This circa £90m t/o business was acquired circa 12 months ago after having undergone a period of significant growth and the investors are now seeking an accomplished Private Equity CFO to play a key role in reshaping the financial success of their distressed asset through leading a critical refinancing programme.

    You’ll be working closely with the CEO and the investors who have a successful track record in distressed asset turnarounds. They are looking for an individual who able to adopt a ‘hands-on’ approach to make crucial executive decisions and drive a significant restructuring of the business in a highly leveraged environment.

    You’ll be responsible for liaising with banks and lenders on all negotiations. One of your first tasks as interim CFO will be to quickly run a full diagnostic on this asset and its subsidiaries to better understand the company’s cash position, covenants position, and ultimately initiate a restructuring plan that will enable them to scale internationally in the future. You will be required on-site at their headquarters in East London 1 day per week.
