    The role

    The Role:

    As Group Finance Director, you'll be at the helm of the financial strategy, steering them towards continued success. Reporting directly to their dynamic and established CFO, you'll have the opportunity to make a tangible impact in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.


    • Lead post-deal integration efforts, leveraging your technical expertise and ERP system knowledge (ideally Netsuite or similar) to drive seamless integration processes.
    • Manage large finance teams, driving efficiencies, improving controls, and streamlining processes to support our growth objectives.
    • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to optimize operational performance and maximize shareholder value.
    • Provide strategic financial leadership, guiding decision-making and supporting our exit strategy.


    The requirements

    The Requirements:

    • Professional Finance Qualification; ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent (e.g. CA/CPA).
    • Proven experience in a highly acquisitive private equity-backed business.
    • Strong technical ability, particularly in post-deal integration.
    • Extensive experience with ERP systems, ideally Netsuite or similar.
    • Demonstrated success in managing large finance teams and driving process improvements.
    • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a track record of driving results in a fast-paced environment.
    • Willingness to occasionally travel as needed.

    Finatal are working with a leading mid-market investor who require an experienced interim CFO to guide their professional services asset through a financial transformation. This circa £90m t/o business was acquired circa 12 months ago after having undergone a period of significant growth and the investors are now seeking an accomplished Private Equity CFO to play a key role in reshaping the financial success of their distressed asset through leading a critical refinancing programme.

    You’ll be working closely with the CEO and the investors who have a successful track record in distressed asset turnarounds. They are looking for an individual who able to adopt a ‘hands-on’ approach to make crucial executive decisions and drive a significant restructuring of the business in a highly leveraged environment.

    You’ll be responsible for liaising with banks and lenders on all negotiations. One of your first tasks as interim CFO will be to quickly run a full diagnostic on this asset and its subsidiaries to better understand the company’s cash position, covenants position, and ultimately initiate a restructuring plan that will enable them to scale internationally in the future. You will be required on-site at their headquarters in East London 1 day per week.
