    The opportunity

    Finatal are partnered with a Private Equity backed high growth and highly acquisitive International Education business. With 20-30% year on year growth, the business is on a clear path towards an IPO or private equity sale. Working within a strong finance function, you will be a key part in clarity of reporting, technical accounting and working with a high number of acquisitions as part of an ambitious growth strategy globally.

    The business has won a multitude of international education awards and has received further significant investment this year, a clear aim in terms of further high acquisition activity.

    Reporting to a Group Reporting Manager, you will have the autonomy and support to build a strong technical accounting path with high exposure to the commercial finance activity.

    The role

    As the Group Finance Accountant, you will focus on:

    • A key player in group consolidations, P&L, month end, balance sheet, cashflow & KPI’s
    • Preparation of Annual Group Consolidated Accounts in accordance with IFRS
    • Preparation of UK holding company subsidiary accounts in accordance with FRS 101
    • Operation and annual update of Transfer pricing
    • Key point of contact for external auditors
    • Support initiatives to ensure appropriate financial controls are in place across the Group

    The requirements

    Given the business growth strategy, this role demands an entrepreneurial and driven Group Accountant to step into an everchanging and growing environment:

    • An accountancy qualification, ideally ACA
    •  Experience working with, or for, a Group Finance function in a large, complex, global organisation
    • Strong knowledge of IFRS technical accounting
    • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, rapidly-growing environment
    • Ability to liaise and enforce compliance across large geographically and culturally disparate groups.
