Finatal are partnering with a fast-growing Consumer Goods/FMCG business, backed by a prominent Private Equity firm. With a turnover of £100 million and an impressive EBITDA of £15 million, the business is poised for continued growth and success. As they embark on a path for secondary private investment and an exit within the next 2-3 years, they are seeking an exceptional individual to help them achieve their strategic financial objectives.

As the Financial Controller, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the financial operations of their business. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will provide critical financial insights and drive efficient and effective financial management. This position presents an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on their growth trajectory, working closely with their talented leadership team.

The Role:

• Oversee the day-to-day financial operations, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis.
• Ensure the integrity of financial information, implementing and maintaining robust internal controls and procedures.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, presenting key findings to senior management and investors.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business decisions through financial modelling and analysis.
• Manage cash flow, treasury, and risk management activities to optimize liquidity and safeguard company assets.
• Drive financial process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Liaise with external stakeholders, including auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies.
• Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices to provide strategic financial guidance.

The Requirements:

• A professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent
• Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar role within the Consumer Goods/FMCG industry, preferably within a Private Equity-backed environment.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards (IFRS/UK GAAP) and financial analysis techniques.
• Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights.
• Proficiency in financial modelling, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across various stakeholders.
• Experience with ERP systems and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• High attention to detail, integrity, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
