Financial Controller
£ 80,000 - £ 90,000 per year Permanent Finance PE Portfolio London
The opportunity
Finatal are partnered with a Private Equity backed Fintech leader, that are global leaders within the Financial Services / Insurance market. In just over 10 years they have grown their revenue over 50x and with a concentrated Buy-And-Build strategy this number will only continue to grow.
Despite a growing business they have a small company mindset and don’t want to stray away from these values, where they value your decisions and allow you to be a key player in decision making processes.
This role is highly commercial with a focus on business partnering across the wider team and senior stakeholders. The role would suit someone 2/4 years Post Qualified, ideally ex practice, who understands the reporting function alongside the commercial deliverables. The role
- Partnering with key Stakeholders across the business, and liaising with the investors, responsible for presenting the P&L and protecting Gross Margin & Profit
- Using insightful analysis and strong interpersonal skills to support, influence and challenge your Commercial Business Partners to maximise Return on Investment
- Work on new business simulations with the finance team, providing a financial perspective on any new opportunity
- Oversight of the balance sheet reconciliations
- Support month-end and year-end close processes
- Mentor and lead a small team
- Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances
- Coordinate the preparation of annual consolidated financial statements
The requirements
- Qualified accountant, ACA, ACCA, CIMA (Or equivalent)
- Ideally Big 4 trained
- Experience within a Private Equity businesses
- Financial Services experience is preferred but not required
