    Finance Manager

    The opportunity

    Finatal are partnering exclusively with a Private Equity-backed multisite Education Technology business based in the UK and all over Pan Europe who are currently seeking a Finance Manager.

    The role

    The role is also responsible for the preparation of a detailed annual budget and regular reforecasts. Additionally, the role will identify opportunities to simplify/improve workflow processes and act as a business partner to provide commercial insights to the divisional MD to drive growth and business performance.

    • Ensure all invoices, recharges and payments are processed on timely and accurate basis
    • Drive and coordinate month end closing, ensuring timely and accurate close
    • Take full responsibility for preparation, production, and review of management accounts monthly including variance analysis (e.g., revenue, commissions, teaching costs, royalty fees) to budget/forecast, ensuring timely and accurate reporting
    • Maintain strong financial control of balance sheets and working capital including cash flow
    • Responsible for maintaining the fixed asset register for UK entities
    • Preparation of monthly commentary/financial reports for all departments
    • Review performance against KPIs (financial and operational)
    • Lead year-end audit process, preparation of audit packs and liaison with auditors  Liaise with the business operations and admissions teams to ensure accuracy of sales invoicing
    • Oversee and manage credit control processes through reviewing debtor balances and working closely with admissions to facilitate cash collection and minimise bad debts
    • Preparation of budget and forecasts alongside Managing Director and principals
    • Advise the business on financial issues as required
    • Provide business partnering support to the Managing Director, principals and central cost budget holders, including producing month-end reports

    The requirements

    • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
    • Thorough technical knowledge, including management accounting and financial reporting
    • Ability to be hands-on and work closely with non-finance professionals
    • Ability to work calmly under pressure and meet monthly deadlines
