    The opportunity

    I am working with a luxury multisite consumer business that has disrupted an already rapidly growing leisure market. Established by a founder with an excellent reputation in the industry and owner of multiple household names in the hospitality industry, the business has just been led through a successful fundraise and are now embarking on a buy and build model. They need an excellent number one in finance to work closely with the CEO, investors and lead the roll out of new sites whilst creating a best-in-class finance function that can support the expected rapid growth.

    The role

    • Apex EBITDA, cash generation & financial performance
    • Creation of a best in class in house finance function, replacing the current outsourced function
    • Identification and modelling of potential new sites.
    • End to end lead of acquisitions and integration of new sites into the business.
    • Performance management of all direct reports to ensure optimal performance of the Finance &Operations teams
    • Support & implement Acquisition activities as agreed at the Board, including maximising synergy benefits from targets
    • Preparation of company operating plans, budgets, and forecasts.
    • Act as a key commercial and strategic business partner along with the Senior Leadership team to influence business decision making.
    • Ensure the timely and accurate compilation and review of the monthly finance pack for each site. Inter-act with site business leaders, ensuring any questions are promptly dealt with.
    • Review all key reconciliations and effective operation of controls, induing AR collections and inventory profiles.
    • Production of monthly board reports, including narrative commentaries around performance variances.
    • Provide challenge and support to the CEO to meet commercial objectives.
    • Review of weekly 13-week business cash flow forecasts.
    • Provision of any necessary information to larger customers in support of commercial initiatives.
    • Manage the communication with bankers and credit insurers keeping them updated in a timely manner.

    The requirements

    • Qualified Accountant
    • Experience in multi-site business (leisure & hospitality)
    • Led on roll out of new sites
    • Someone who has operated in a high growth, fast paced environment
    • Can build a robust finance function from scratch
    • Able to get hands on
    • Can manage investors and work closely with the CEO
