Having recently completed a successful Series A funding round led by prominent venture capital firm, this B2B SaaS business are looking for their first CFO. As their first CFO, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial future of our company. You will work closely with the CEO and the executive team to develop and implement financial strategies that will fuel our organic growth, expansion into international markets, and the acquisition of new customers. This is an exceptional opportunity for a strategic finance leader to make a significant impact and contribute to the success of a high-growth, VC-backed SaaS business.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive financial strategy aligned with business objectives, growth plans, and investor expectations.
- Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and agility in financial reporting.
- Drive financial analysis and modelling to support decision-making processes related to pricing, product development, customer acquisition, and international expansion.
- Implement and maintain robust financial controls, systems, and processes to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
- Collaborate with the executive team to assess and negotiate potential partnerships, collaborations, and strategic investments.
- Provide strategic guidance on capital allocation, fundraising, and investor relations, ensuring effective communication and transparency with stakeholders.
- Build and lead a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to monitor financial performance, identify trends, and drive operational efficiency.
- Partner with cross-functional teams, such as Sales, Marketing, and Product, to align financial goals with business objectives and drive revenue growth.
Qualifications:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Proven experience as a CFO or a senior finance executive in a high-growth B2B SaaS company, preferably following a successful Series A funding round.
- Deep understanding of SaaS business models, financial planning, and metrics relevant to customer acquisition, retention, and lifetime value.
- Strong strategic mindset with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights and recommendations.
- Experience leading and managing financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial reporting.
- Demonstrated success in scaling businesses, expanding into new markets, and driving organic growth initiatives.
- Knowledge of venture capital and fundraising processes, along with experience managing relationships with investors and external stakeholders.

The incoming Interim CFO will be tasked with partnering closely with the Group CEO and Private Equity investors to drive this ambitious growth plan in a highly dynamic sector.Core Deliverables:
- Evaluate Group financials/reporting systems per IFRS standards.
- Improve finance IT systems and processes for efficiency, transparency, and KPI tracking.
- Enhance Group-level financial information to boost performance (margins, staff efficiency).
- Develop and oversee financial strategy and control.
- Coordinate monthly closings and report to private equity and debt providers.
- Manage Group-level financial activities, optimize cash flow, and oversee banking and FX relations.
