As a Group Financial Controller, you will play a pivotal role in their journey to success. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the company, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and providing strategic insights to support decision-making processes. The Role
Act as a trusted financial advisor to the senior leadership team, providing strategic recommendations and insights to drive financial performance and optimize business growth.
Oversee the preparation of timely and accurate financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements, and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to develop and monitor financial budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis to support effective decision-making.
Manage cash flow and treasury functions to ensure liquidity needs are met and develop strategies to optimize working capital efficiency.
Interface with Private Equity partners, providing financial updates and insights on the business's performance, financial trends, and growth opportunities.
Continuously review and enhance financial processes and internal controls to drive efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
Lead and mentor a talented finance team, fostering a culture of collaboration, growth, and excellence.
Requirements
ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified with a strong academic background.
Proven experience working within a PE-backed organization or serving PE clients in a financial leadership role.
Knowledge or exposure to the Utilities sector is highly desirable, but not essential.
Excellent numerical literacy and ability to interpret financial data, providing valuable insights to support decision-making.
Demonstrated ability to think strategically, translating financial data into actionable plans to drive business growth.
Proven experience leading and motivating teams to achieve exceptional results.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels effectively.
