    Finatal are currently retained on a search for a Group Financial Controller to support the SaaS portfolio of a leading, tech-oriented Private Equity house. The c. €200m turnover company employs over 600 people across Europe, the Americas and Asia. 

    It is highly profitable, cash generative, and strategically well placed, with topline growth rates of over 50%, high barriers to entry, and strong product innovation.

    Core Mandate

    Reporting to the CFO, this position is responsible for developing the finance organisation to support the growth of the company into a €500m revenue business by 2027. This will include developing the finance team, the systems environment, and processes.  

    • Develop and enhance the skills of the finance team, to be an effective international finance team capable of operating a €500m turnover business. 
    • Develop and enhance the Group’s finance systems (including automation and connectivity with non-finance systems). The systems should be capable of supporting a €500m turnover business. 
    • Maintain high standards of Accounting (French GAAP, but with a possible move to IFRS), ensure compliance with on time and accurate filings in an international environment. Be proactive to understand the benefits of IFRS over French GAAP and support a change if required. 
    • Maintain a high-quality taxation service, using external professionals in an efficient and effective way to ensure we achieve an optimal mix of low taxation cost and low risk. 
    • Maintain an effective control environment that balances the need for rapid growth with safeguarding the company’s assets and efficient use of funds. 
    • Lead on all aspects of financial integration of acquisitions. 
    • Maintain the Group structure closing down and opening new entities in an efficient way as required by the business. 
    • Review current outsourcing arrangements and bring in-house any activity that can be done more effectively or cost efficiently. 
    • Transactions processing, focus on process and automation, setting up processes and tools as needed (for example the expense process and invoicing process can be standardized and enhance. 

    Key requirements

    • 5+ years of experience of working in a fast-moving international finance environment 
    • Experiences to include developing finance systems, setting up and improving finance processes / controls and team building in an international environment 
    • Need to be able to communicate in English and French (verbal and written) 
    • Self-driven and resourceful with a roll-up-your sleeves attitude towards getting things done in an SME company environment, but with the vision to think big 
    • Robust and business focused 
    • High ethical standards 
    • Bachelor's degree and a suitable accounting qualification 
    • The successful candidate will have a blend of people, technical and commercial skills 
    • Prior Private Equity experience not mandatory, but must evidence willingness for the journey

As you will be travelling to Paris 2 days a week, you will need to have at least working proficiency in French.

    Responsibilities:

    • Preparation of monthly board packs, develop custom KPIs to track performance both financially and non-financially and present to senior leadership team.
    • Annual budget and quarterly forecast with variance analysis.

    Qualifications:
