Finatal are currently partnered with a mid-market pan-European fund seeking an Interim COO for their recently acquired Manufacturing business with revenues of c.€50m headquartered in Dublin.
The Chief Operations Officer will play a critical leadership role in delivering the five-year growth plan as the group expands across DACH, CEE and Benelux via a buy & build strategy. The role has responsibility for leveraging the integration of cross-functional support areas to optimise operational efficiency across all facilities. The COO holds strategic and leadership responsibilities for all operational needs. Partnering alongside an accomplished CEO, managing a team of five, you will be tasked with the below.
Key duties/responsibilities:
Responsible for establishing and executing the operations functional strategies for all business units including the attainment of quality, service, productivity and cost-down objectives with specific responsibility for the systems, practices and human resources necessary to deliver products that meet or exceed established quality, delivery and cost-down targets to facilitate the strategic growth of the business.
Provide leadership in driving continuous quality improvement, lean sigma initiatives, compliance, and customer focused quality. Lead operational excellence and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Delivery of operational performance in line with KPIs and operations performance targets.
The ideal candidate will have solid industry experience with 5+ years of leadership in Operations and experience of leading design and engineering teams or an understanding of the design and new product introduction process. Qualified to degree level in engineering, science or any other technical discipline with
Postgraduate or Masters Level in management, business administration or engineering highly desirable.
